Camiguin Trip and my Luggage :D

Last weekend, I got the chance to join my girlfriend in her company’s Rest and Recereation activity and that is to travel to Camiguin Island, Philippines. Camiguin is a small Island between Mindanao and Visayas. The small island can be circled within a day thus making the resorts and natural sites accessible in a short stay in the Island. Man, it is really cool there! A small place that has preserved its natural resources and successfully made them accessible to the public at the same time protecting them. I will be posting pictures later about some of the relaxing natural sites I visited..

The story of my travel was between me and my luggage .. I was so excited to come to the trip that I wasn’t able to check my luggage. I just placed my stuffs in it and went on. Little did I know about the problem that it will cost me in my trip. I brought a carry-on type and I failed to check that the zipper was jammed. And when I was boarding the bus that the company rented, my luggage got caught on the door and NOO!!! it was torn. Although the tear was not very big, it affected my mood on the trip. And with the combination of the jammed zipper, I was always looking at my luggage because my things might come out or any person may easily get my stuffs in it.. phew! talking about a reliable luggage!

So what’s the lesson learned? A reliable and durable travel luggage is important in a trip or else it will make you miss beautiful sites that you might see in the bus window. Whether you buy locally or shop online, it is important to not settle on cheap luggage sets but instead spend some reasonable amount on your things and buy once rather than to buy several cheap things regularly because they easily get destroyed. Also, it is also cool to be updated in the latest innovations and updates in luggages and travel wares - if you are really into traveling.. You can check out Innovation Luggage for top quality, innovative, perfect sized luggages as well as travel tips that make your trip secure, safe and enjoyable.

Anyway, these are some pics from the trip, hope you guys will feel that you were with me there.. Or you can come to Camiguin Island here in the Philippines and enjoy its beauty yourselves.

Living Without Lungs…

Do you think this is cute?? emoticon

I think it is cute!.. haha.. but you are actually looking at a very rare species of frog. The frog, Barbourula kalimantanensis, is so rare that the scientific community once cannot take a risk of dissecting it for study. Can you believe that?..

Moving on.. According to David Wake,  a biologist and expert in amphibian evolution at the University of California, Berkeley, the frog is so rare that we know almost nothing about its biology. the frog was accidentally discovered to have no lungs when David Bickford, a biologist at the National University of Singapore, and other scientists found the species in a clear,cold-water stream on the island of Borneo in indonesia and did routine dissections to the frogs.

The frogs respire and get all their oxygen through their skin. The flat morphology of the frog is an adaptation to have a greater skin surface area that is exposed to getting oxygen. Also, the lunglessness were adaptations to the fast moving and high-oxygen water of the stream. Coz it is known that lungs cause a body to float and get carried away in fast flowing water.

Well, i am always astonished by nature, specially with  the limited knowledge that we have in life under the deep sea.  but i am very much happy to browse through national geographic a few moments ago.. hehe
